A very good barrel vise!

This is the best barrel vise I have ever owned or used. I recently restored a Gewehr 98 WWI era rifle built in 1907. On this rifle the action was left in the white (un-blued). All of my other barrel vises would not work to break the action lose from the barrel but this vise did the trick. I highly recommend it.

Overall a great product, broke a factory rem. 700 barrel with ease, only problem i had was one of the studs bent & now the upper clamp is a pain to get on/off... other than that, i would highly recommend it..nice product

The first pair of Cowhide inserts lasted thru the removal and replacement of 6 Enfield No.1 Mk.4 Barrels. I was amazed. Other barrel vises, that I own, cost much more and didn't function nearly as well as this. I am amazed.

Very simple and very functional

I had a muzzle brake I needed to put on a gun. Instead of putting the barrel in a vice and having the weight of the gun hanging I laid my gun on the work bench to see how much the barrel was off the bench and how close it was to the vice. I ended up loosely clamping the vice to the end of the barrel and there was no visible gaps under the vice so I used C clamps to clamp it to the work bench, tightened the screws down and put my muzzle brake on. It saved me time, gas and cost of taking it to someone to do it for me and having to work out supporting the heavy end of my rifle in a vice that wasn't even mounted. The design was great, very simple and easy to use. I'm moving to Alaska and it's going with me and it's made in the USA. F China and their garbage

Finally... the right tool for the job!

I had a factory muzzle device that was really stuck on good (not welded or anything). I tried a few other vices and devices but nothing would work. I finally came across this and it worked like a dream, I had that stuck on muzzle device off in a couple of minutes. This is a great product as it will work on lots of weapon systems like gas guns, bolt guns, different barrel diameters, etc. Very handy to have in the shop and I would highly recommend it.
